Bloomin' 2011 Will Offer Riders
Another Great Bike Tour


Sound Cyclists Bicycle Club's 34th Annual Bloomin' Metric® bicycle tour will once again be offering three great scenic rides in the Spring of 2011 - 25 miles, 75 kilometers and 100 kilometers.

As in the past, a portion of the proceeds from the entry fee for Bloomin' Metric® 2011 will be donated to help support a worthy organization involved in the sport of cycling.

Rain or Shine
Start Time: 7:00 am - 9:30 am (for all routes)
There are three beautiful routes to choose from, where you can ride 25 miles, 75 kilometers (47.6 miles) or 100 kilometers (62.1 miles) along scenic roads of Fairfield County Connecticut. If you are new to the Tour, please read all the information below to become acquainted with our event. Registration for the Bloomin' Metric® will be made available after the new year. Fees will be posted there.
Helmets Required - ANSI-, SNELL- or CPSC-approved.
Helmets must be brought to the registration desk. Cycling safety and strict adherence to all cycling rules of the road are imperative.
All riders receive a map and cue sheet, along with a goodie bag. Routes will be marked and patrolled with sag wagon service. SAG (support and gear) wagons are volunteers who drive around the routes to check on riders and provide mechanical service wherever possible or take riders back to the start in extreme cases when a rider abandons to Tour. There will be plenty of food and water and rest rooms for all riders.
Pre-register early and you will receive an official event T-shirt.

All pre registered riders will have a chance to win great prizes.
