The Bloomin Metric 2013 will be held on Sunday June 2nd, 2013 with rider sign-in open between 7:00-9:30 am for all routes.
Once you have signed-in you can start the ride.

The rides will start and finish at Sherwood Island State Park, Westport CT. This is a rain or shine event. Once you register a spot is saved for you. There are no refunds or transfers of registrations.

There are three beautiful routes to choose from, where you can ride 25 miles, 75 kilometers (47.6 miles) or 100 kilometers (62.1 miles) along scenic roads of Fairfield County Connecticut.

If you must use one of our mail-in forms from our brochures, it must be postmarked by May 1 to qualify for the pre-registered status. However, registering here is the preferred method.

Great News! Did you know that your Bloomin' Metric fee also includes a special membership from the Bloomin Metric for the month of June? You will be provided a special user name and password to access our ride schedule and find other member-specific information for this period of time.

If you decide you would like to join for the whole year and are not already a member (this offer is for new members only), you will be able to do so during the registration process.

REGISTRATION IS LIMITED TO 2,500 RIDERS THIS YEAR. THERE WILL BE NO REGISTRATIONS ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT. So don't delay and pre-register to avoid possibly being shut out of one of bicycling magazine's top 50 tours in the USA.

Helmets are Mandatory

Helmets should be ANSI, SNELL or CSPC approved, and must be brought to the registration desk. Cycling safety and strict adherence to all cycling rules of the road are imperative. Riding two, three and four abreast is a violation of traffic laws and safe riding practices. Not only does this put you at risk but events like this will not be allowed by the towns if it continues. Be safe - be considerate.

Map and cue sheet, T-Shirt and Prizes

All riders receive a map and cue sheet. Routes will be marked and patrolled with sag wagon service. SAG (support and gear) wagons are volunteers who drive around the routes to check on riders and provide mechanical service wherever possible or take riders back to the start in extreme cases when a rider abandons to Tour. There will be plenty of food and water and rest rooms for all riders.

Pre-registrants will receive a T-shirt and will be eligible to receive great prizes. Winners will be picked by random drawing from registrations we receive by May 1. Winners will be notified when signing in at the registration tables on the morning of the event. If the winner should not be present, they will be notified at a later date.

Registration and Payment

On-line registration is $48.00, For children under 18 years of age registration is $36.00. Sound Cyclists strongly recommends that children under 16 years are accompanied on the ride by an adult. Registrations for children will include the completion of a Parental/Guardian Liability Waiver.
