 Bloomin' 2010 Will Offer Riders
Another Great Bike Tour
Sound Cyclists Bicycle Club's 33nd Annual Bloomin' Metric® bicycle tour will once again be offering three great scenic rides in the Spring of 2010 - 25 miles, 75 kilometers and 100 kilometers.
As in the past, a portion of the proceeds from the entry fee for Bloomin' Metric® 2010 will be donated to help support a worthy organization involved in the sport of cycling.

| There are three beautiful routes to choose from, where you can ride 25 miles, 75 kilometers (47.6 miles) or 100 kilometers (62.1 miles) along scenic roads of Fairfield County Connecticut. If you are new to the Tour, please read all the information below to become acquainted with our event. Otherwise, proceed right to the Registration area to get all set for this year's Bloomin' Metric®. All fees for this year's event are listed there. |
| We would like to remind you that by registering online you will receive a confirmation of your registration - instantly. This is the preferred method for signing up. Processing of registrations are done through active.com on a secure server, where major credit cards are accepted. We prefer you avoid using any mail-in forms, since that requires manual processing. This delays your registration and you will not receive a confirmation. |
| Great News! Did you know that your Bloomin' Metric® fee also includes a special membership until June 30? You will be provided a special user name and password to access our ride schedule for this period of time. If you decide you would like to join for the whole year and are not already a member (this offer is for new members only), you will be able to do so during the registration process. |
| Note: Sound Cyclists Bicycle Club reserves the right to limit day-of registrations based on number of pre-registrations. So don't delay and pre-register to avoid possibly being shut out of one of Bicycling Magazine's top 50 tours in the USA. |
Helmets Required - ANSI-, SNELL- or CPSC-approved.
Helmets must be brought to the registration desk. Cycling safety and strict adherence to all cycling rules of the road are imperative. |
| All riders receive a map and cue sheet, along with a goodie bag. Routes will be marked and patrolled with sag wagon service. SAG (support and gear) wagons are volunteers who drive around the routes to check on riders and provide mechanical service wherever possible or take riders back to the start in extreme cases when a rider abandons to Tour. There will be plenty of food and water and rest rooms for all riders. |
 Pre-register early and you will receive an official Bloomin' Metric® T-shirt. Click on the image to the left to see a larger view.
There will be prizes as well. Winners will be picked by random drawing from registrations we receive by May 1. The winner will be notified when signing in at the registration tables on the morning of the event. If the winner should not be present, they will be notified at a later date.
Those whose registrations are received after May 1 or who register on the day of the event do not receive a T-shirt nor are they eligible to win prizes. Mail-in registrations must be postmarked by May 1. |
