@Chat is a subscription based E-mail system for our club members. We fully understand that people are inundated each day with E-mail, most of which is spam. Still, we encourage all our members to subscribe to @Chat since it's our best way to communicate with each other, especially on a last-minute bases. You will have the choice of how you wish to receive these E-mail postings or how often you wish to get them. You can even chose to manually retrieve them without them showing up in your E-mail box. Suitable topics include questions and answers related to the club, club members, club and non-club rides, social activities, local and regional bicycle issues, bicycles and bicycle equipment, and other bicycle related issues. Often, ride information is posted by ride leaders. In a nut-shell; keep discussion limited to bicycling, social events and SCBC issues. All buttons for operating this feature are located in the Control Panel to the right. |

As members it is your responsibility to show common courtesy and respect for the other members. Occasionally, a topic comes up that may be upsetting to you. If you disagree with the opinions of others, be respectful in your response. Individuals have the right to express their opinions in a responsible manner. We will not allow any form of threats, vulgarity, commercial advertising, off topic chitchat, or any other actions that would be considered irresponsible or offensive to group members. If you have a personal issue to discuss with a member of the group, please address your response directly to that member's e-mail as this is an open forum. This e-mail group is generally unmoderated, however if topics stray too wildly or members abuse the service then moderation may occasionally be activated. |
