Rain Date: Sunday, October 20, 2024
Autumn is upon us and along with beautiful bike riding comes thoughts of pumpkin spice and cider. So come join us on a joint ride with the Westchester Cycling Club on Saturday, October 19th for the Harvest Rides.
All rides (100 km, 41-mile, 32-mile and 22-mile) will leave from the Metro North Railroad Station in Westport on the Northbound side (New Haven bound). This is a no-charge event so no RSVP is needed. You just need to pre register like you normally do for any other SCBC ride. There is a button below for your convenience that will take you to the Ride Schedule.
The longer rides are all laid out so they head for Silverman's Farm on Sport Hill Road in Easton. The D & E rides do not go up to Silverman's but do pass by the ghosts and goblins on Banks North Road. Silverman's Farm always has sweet treats and fresh produce to enjoy with your cycling friends! The Country market is full of everything from fruits and vegetables to breads, cheeses, and fresh-baked goods. The 100 km route will have a second food stop at Lily's Market in Weston Center. All roads lead down Banks North, where the local resident there sets up their halloween display for all to enjoy.
