Pear Tree Point Beach Rides/Pizza

Let's do both at Pear Tree Point Beach! Our after ride reward will be a catered lunch from the Old World Pizza Truck serving traditional New Haven gourmet pizza from wood fired ovens. Pizza will be available from 11:30a to 3:00p. There will be vegan and lactose-intolerant upon request.

SCBC members without a Darien beach pass can still park at Pear Tree Point but will need to mention "Sound Cyclists Reservation" at the gate house for entry. Parking is free for vehicles with either Connecticut plates or out-of-state. Please park away from the block building. There'll be a rope-off area with picnic tables under trees for folks to hang out and munch. The pizza truck will park near there.

We would like all our rides to begin and end at Pear Tree Point Beach. Since the club has never had rides start from this location, Ride Leaders are being asked to select rides that exist in the library that pass by Pear Tree Point and add this it as the alternate start location. Riders should check the ride schedule for start location, times and routes once listed. Be aware that ride leaders will be selecting rides that usually start elsewhere but the beach will be the start and end point.

If you are planning to both ride and partake in pizza, use both buttons above or below. First click on the RSVP button to reserve your spot and to make your payment. There will be no day of registration or payment accepted for the catered lunch. Please plan to pack your own lunch if not eating pizza. Once you finish the RSVP process, you can return here and click on the Ride Pre Registration button that will take you over to the familiar Rides Calendar.
